The Coen Brother's latest film has met with mixed response, from so-so to awesome. A modern parable in the mold of Job in the Bible, we follow a Jewish academic as his life falls apart around him. As the disasters pile up, he struggles to understand how and why they are happening, seeking answers everywhere without success. A dark comedy of the highest order.
