This highly-decorated film takes a look at homosexuality in a rural area back in the 1960s. Two cowboys take a job rounding up some sheep, and one cold night, find themselves sexually involved. They write it off as a once-off occurrence, and each settles down into happily married life. A few years later, they meet again, and find that their passions still burn. Over the years they have an annual get-together, while keeping their romance secret from their families. But the situation can not go on, and their family lives start to suffer...
